Consider pursuing a bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Central Missouri. Also known as Communication Disorders or Speech Therapy, this program falls under the broader field of communication disorders. As a speech-language pathologist, you'll transform lives by helping individuals with speech, language, swallowing, hearing, fluency, voice, and memory challenges. UCM's program offers more than standalone speech pathology courses - it delivers a complete, unified curriculum. You'll acquire essential knowledge and foundational skills to launch your career in this field. The program features specialized coursework, practical training at our on-campus Welch-Schmidt Center for Communication Disorders, and mentorship from experienced, supportive faculty. Graduates qualify for Missouri's speech-language pathology assistant (SLP-A) licensure and can work as SLP-As in Missouri public schools.
