The University of Central Florida's School of Communication Sciences and Disorders provides two bachelor's degree choices: a BA and BS in Communication Sciences and Disorders. These programs equip students with rigorous scientific training that prepares them for entry-level positions in healthcare and social services or for advanced studies in speech-language pathology, audiology, or similar fields.
The curriculum covers subjects involving speech, language, and hearing development along with related disorders. Furthermore, earning a CSD bachelor's degree serves as the primary stepping stone for pursuing graduate studies in speech-language pathology or audiology. To become a licensed speech-language pathologist, a master's degree is mandatory, while practicing as an audiologist requires earning a Doctor of Audiology (AuD) degree.
