The Physics Department provides a flexible multi-track curriculum for students pursuing either a B.S. or B.A. degree, allowing them to tailor their coursework to align with professional aspirations. The Physics B.S. program features a foundational curriculum covering both theoretical and experimental physics, ensuring students gain comprehensive knowledge of fundamental principles. Specialized tracks enable students to focus their studies, developing targeted problem-solving skills that increase their employability in specific fields post-graduation. Our graduates are equipped for advanced studies in diverse areas including physics, engineering, medicine, environmental sciences, and astronomy, as well as for careers in engineering physics, computational physics, and physics education. Physics undergraduates enjoy small class sizes and have opportunities to engage in research projects and customized senior thesis work under faculty guidance.
