UCSC stands as a global pioneer in astrophysics education, offering a stimulating and rigorous graduate program. The curriculum focuses on cutting-edge astrophysics research as the primary training method to equip students for diverse career paths. Around 50 graduate students are currently pursuing Ph.D. degrees in the program. Student must have a four-year bachelor's degree at an English-speaking institution.
English Language Testing
For those choosing to take the TOEFL, a minimum score on the paper-based TOEFL of 550, or 220 on the computer-based test, or 83 on the internet-based test is required for admission.
For those choosing to take the IELTS, a minimum overall score of 7 from the IELTS test is required for admission.
