The Teacher Education Program (TEP) provides Preliminary California Teaching Credentials along with a Master's in Education (M.Ed). This intensive one-year program blends credential coursework with graduate studies, equipping aspiring educators with both theoretical knowledge and hands-on classroom experience. Unlike traditional programs, TEP runs student teaching parallel with academic courses, allowing immediate application of university-taught concepts in real classrooms. Running from summer 2025 through June 2026, UCSB's innovative program fosters professional connections, offers year-long guided teaching experience, and seamlessly merges academic learning with practical implementation.
