The Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences (QMSS) program at UC Santa Barbara offers an interdisciplinary Ph.D. specialization for students aiming to master and apply advanced quantitative techniques in social science studies. Our program equips students with strong mathematical and statistical foundations required for sophisticated quantitative analysis, alongside offering diverse interdisciplinary insights into quantitative approaches within social sciences. An increasing range of departments and professors contribute to this specialization and our fortnightly seminar series, showcasing researchers employing quantitative methods across various social science fields. QMSS welcomes all students and faculty members with an interest in cross-disciplinary quantitative social science research to participate.
