The Computer Music Program focuses on exploring innovative approaches to electronic music creation and live presentation, driven by a dynamic schedule of performances featuring original pieces from students, instructors, and guest artists. The program promotes interdisciplinary collaboration with other academic tracks: Composition, Performance, and Integrative Studies. Students are motivated to examine and interpret electronic music classics while composing new works incorporating digital elements. Upon completing foundational coursework, candidates progress to qualifying exam preparation and, after passing, commence their doctoral research projects.

Qualification Requirements

Successful applicants must hold a bachelor's degree or the equivalent from an accredited institution in the United States or from a recognized university-level academic institution abroad and at least a B average (3.0 GPA) or its equivalent by the time they enroll. Some exceptional applicants with lower GPAs may be recommended for admission. TOEFL with a minimum score of 550 (paper based test-PBT) or 85 (internet based test-iBT)IELTS with a minimum Band Score of 7
