The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) welcomes students into its graduate programs, offering both M.S. and Ph.D. tracks. ECE provides advanced degree programs in electrical engineering with focus areas including: communication systems theory, computer engineering, electronic circuits, device materials, intelligent systems, robotics and control, magnetic recording, photonics, space science, and signal/image processing. The department also participates in interdisciplinary programs covering advanced manufacturing, applied ocean sciences, and materials science. For exceptional ECE undergraduates, the department offers a combined B.S./M.S. program that allows students to earn both degrees consecutively.
