The UC San Diego Psychology Department focuses on researching human and animal behavior through experimental and theoretical approaches, along with studying mental processes. Psychology majors gain expertise across diverse subject areas while acquiring fundamental skills in experimental methods and data analysis. Our curriculum covers all principal fields of experimental psychology, with specialized tracks including clinical psychology, cognitive studies, developmental psychology, health psychology, sensory processes, and social psychology. We also provide a business psychology major and a collaborative cognitive and behavioral neuroscience program with Cognitive Science. Prospective or current psychology majors should meet with the Psychology Student Affairs Office to thoroughly comprehend degree requirements.
