The art history, theory, and criticism major caters to students seeking either a comprehensive humanities education or preparation for art-focused careers. This program builds upon mastering the languages of artistic expression. Art history courses teach students to interpret artworks as reflections of human beliefs, thoughts, and experiences across Western and non-Western cultures throughout history.
