Students pursuing a double major in Global South Studies need to complete a minimum of 10 upper-level courses distinct to each major. The Global South Studies curriculum must span at least three different academic disciplines or departments. Coursework can concentrate on specific themes, issues, or geographic-historical regions. Up to two courses may count toward both majors with proper authorization. Dual departmental approval is mandatory for any overlapping courses. Prospective majors should meet with a Global South Studies faculty advisor to review and approve their academic plan.
