The Environmental Sciences Graduate Program provides both M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Environmental Sciences. As environmental challenges grow more intricate, advanced education in this field becomes essential for tackling issues related to natural resources and ecological preservation. While solving these problems often demands expertise in specific scientific disciplines, it equally requires the ability to comprehend and synthesize diverse interconnected factors—including physical, chemical, biological, and societal elements. This multidisciplinary approach sets environmental sciences apart from other scientific domains. Our curriculum delivers specialized graduate education in key concentrations such as Atmospheric Sciences, Environmental Chemistry and Ecotoxicology, Environmental Microbiology, Hydrologic Sciences, and Soil and Water Sciences—all unified under a single graduate program managed by the Department of Environmental Sciences. Graduates from this program are equipped to meet the growing demand for specialists across various sectors, with career prospects spanning regulatory bodies, consulting firms, governmental and academic research organizations, and industrial research centers.
