UC Riverside's biochemistry bachelor's program offers three specialization tracks tailored to students' career aspirations: biology, chemistry, and medical sciences. Students can earn either a B.A. or B.S. degree in this field. The program provides significant financial support, with 85% of undergraduates receiving financial assistance and 70% obtaining full tuition coverage through grants and scholarships. Numerous research opportunities are available on campus, covering diverse areas such as molecular biology, physical biochemistry, endocrinology, plant biochemistry & molecular biology, cellular signaling, and biomedical studies. Collaborative research with faculty is possible, and the new School of Medicine creates expanded laboratory and research possibilities for degree candidates. Graduates leave well-prepared for health professions, advanced scientific studies, or various science-related careers.
