The university provides an integrated B.S./M.S. program in Bioengineering that enables students to earn both a Bachelor's and Master's degree within five years. The recommended path for the M.S. component is Plan II (Comprehensive Exam), as it aligns best with the five-year schedule. Students do have the option to choose Plan I (Research Thesis) when appropriate. Those selecting Plan I should have substantial prior research experience before beginning their Master's year. We strongly advise students considering Plan I to consult with their academic advisor about this option.

Completed their secondary education and have earned a certificate of completion which enables them to be admitted to a university in their home country.

To meet minimum requirements to be considered for UCR selection, you must earn a minimum GPA of 3.4 on a 4.0 scale (equivalent to an 85 percent on a 100 percent scale).
