The Computer Science Department is committed to achieving the highest standards in developing, implementing, and sharing knowledge in computer science and engineering. This is accomplished through robust academic programs, collaborative research with industry and government partners, dissemination via scholarly works, and contributions to professional organizations, local communities, and the nation.
Educational Goals for CS and CS&E Programs
The Department provides bachelor of science degrees in both computer science (CS) and computer science and engineering (CS&E). While both programs offer a solid computer science foundation, the CS&E degree specifically caters to students seeking deeper expertise in computer hardware systems alongside their software education.
An international student whose post-secondary education is completed outside of the U.S. is expected to hold a degree representing completion of at least four years of study with above average scholarship from a university or university-level institution.
IELTS Academic overall band score should be at least 7.0 is the minimum required.
TOEFL score on the paper and pencil test must be at least 560 or at least 87 on the internet-based test.
