Renowned as Southern California's top law school with global recognition, UCLA School of Law offers an innovative interdisciplinary legal education through its adaptable curriculum. Distinguished faculty members create a nurturing academic atmosphere while teaching diverse subjects. LL.M. candidates can focus their studies in specialized areas including Business Law, International and Comparative Law, Media/Entertainment/Tech Law, or Public Interest Law. Our expansive campus sits in one of Los Angeles' most sought-after areas, merely 15 minutes from the ocean and five minutes from Beverly Hills. Beyond enjoying arguably the world's finest weather, LA serves as a vibrant international cultural hub with over 10 million residents.
The full-time LL.M. program spans one academic year from mid-August to mid-May, divided into two 15-week semesters. Before regular classes begin, incoming international LL.M. students without prior U.S. legal education complete a special introductory course called American Law in a Global Context. After December exams and winter break, studies resume in January, culminating with graduation ceremonies in May.
