Within the Ceramics Department, learners are motivated to discover diverse approaches for working with clay, while examining both historical artistic traditions and modern theoretical perspectives. Courses offer training in shaping techniques (hand-forming and wheel-throwing) along with surface treatments (glazing and alternative methods), enabling students to develop proficiency with ceramic materials. The studio features throwing wheels, slab rollers, various kilns (gas and electric), glaze materials, a spacious spray booth, and generous workspace.
