This dual degree program enables students passionate about the intersection of law and public policy to obtain both M.P.P. and J.D. degrees within four years. Those contemplating careers in government, non-profit organizations, or private sector roles demanding expertise in legal and policy evaluation are strongly encouraged to apply. Current first-year students in either public policy or law programs may also submit applications.

Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited institution comparable in standard and content to a bachelors degree from the University of California An overall scholastic average of B 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or better is required IELTS 7.0 TOEFL IBT 100 TOEFL PBT 600 The Graduate Record Examination GRE is required for the MPP application Students applying for the MPPJD may submit their GRE score in lieu of a Law School Admission Test LSAT score For these students no LSAT is required however please note that every student who has taken the LSAT must submit that score as well
