UCLA Anderson's Strategy program educates Ph.D. candidates in examining how businesses adapt to their competitive landscape and external conditions. Our professors research both external company dynamics involving customers, rivals, suppliers, and regulators, as well as internal relationships with workforce members. Economic theory serves as our primary analytical framework for strategic inquiries, complemented by insights from psychology, sociology, and political science. The curriculum exposes students to diverse strategic management domains including business competition, technological advancement, talent management, venture creation, international expansion, organizational behavior, and market systems.
