To pursue a Physiological Science major, students need to pass Chemistry and Biochemistry courses 14A, 14B, and 14C, or 20A, 20B, and 30A, along with Life Sciences 7A and 7B. They must also complete Mathematics 3A, 3B, and 3C, or 31A, 31B, and 32A, or alternatively Life Sciences 30A, 30B, and 40, or Statistics 13, plus Physics 1A or 5A. Each course requires at least a C grade, with an overall 2.5 GPA in these prerequisites by fall quarter of their third year. Repeating more than one of these nine foundational courses will disqualify applicants from entering the major. Once completed, students should reach out to the Undergraduate Advising Office to officially declare their major.
