The Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies (B.A.) is a two-year program starting in the junior year. This major explores architecture's core principles—form, space, structure, and function—and their connections to political, social, and cultural frameworks. The program focuses on two key goals: first, presenting architecture and urban design as humanities disciplines intertwined with cultural studies and architectural history; second, preparing students for advanced professional studies if desired.

The curriculum emphasizes three core components: critical studies, technology, and design. Critical studies develop analytical skills through historical and modern architectural contexts. These skills extend to technology courses, examining new technologies, material applications, and architectural representation. Design studios apply critical thinking to address architectural challenges, social impacts, and responses to specific contexts, audiences, and functional needs.
