The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) pursues two primary objectives: nurturing tomorrow's innovators through exceptional academic programs and addressing technological demands by pioneering groundbreaking advancements. Our educators maintain that engineering serves as a cornerstone for societal progress, driving the creation of innovative solutions that enhance human welfare and living standards.
With over 20 specialized research teams, the department explores varied fields including embedded systems, computer networks, middleware, real-time technologies, MEMS and nanotech, telecommunications, artificial intelligence, as well as neural and soft computing. These domains apply mathematical and scientific principles to conceptualize, develop, and deploy systems and devices that positively impact our world.
