The LL.M. (Master of Laws) program at UC Irvine School of Law provides an exceptional legal education for international attorneys, judicial professionals, government representatives, and others seeking to understand the U.S. legal framework. Our flexible general LL.M. curriculum allows customization to align with each student's specific objectives, preparing them with the expertise needed to thrive in the international legal arena.
This intensive one-year program requires 24 credits of advanced legal studies, specifically designed for internationally-trained legal professionals. While Introduction to American Law is mandatory, participants can choose from diverse upper-level courses to complete their studies. Our specialized advisors help students design their academic path and, if needed, ensure their coursework satisfies state bar requirements in California, New York, or other jurisdictions.
