The Master of Laws general program is designed for law graduates seeking to advance their expertise by specializing in a specific legal field or emerging area of practice. Established in 2012 to leverage Suffolk Law's comprehensive curriculum, this LLM provides exceptional flexibility. You can design a customized track in your preferred specialization or select courses from Suffolk's renowned practice areas, such as dispute resolution and civil litigation, business and financial law, biomedical and health law, intellectual property, or international law.
Participants may also opt for the LLM internship program, a distinctive chance to gain hands-on experience for academic credit either domestically or internationally. To graduate, all LLM candidates must fulfill the Legal Writing Requirement by producing a significant research paper through a course, Directed Study, or thesis project. Students must submit the completed LLM Legal Writing Requirement form, endorsed by their faculty advisor, to the Law Registrar prior to graduation.
