In today's increasingly interconnected and data-driven business landscape, there's growing demand for professionals skilled in utilizing information technologies, identifying meaningful patterns within data, and applying these insights to drive business success.
The Business Information Management undergraduate program, offered through a partnership between the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences and The Paul Merage School of Business, combines computing, business principles, and analytical skills. This interdisciplinary program equips students with comprehensive knowledge in technology, business operations, and data-driven decision-making, preparing them for diverse career paths in both corporate and nonprofit sectors, as well as advanced studies in fields like information systems, business administration, and law.
The program's coursework spans three key domains: Technology (covering computer science, informatics, and software development), Core Business Concepts (including accounting, finance, and marketing), and Quantitative Analysis (encompassing statistics, economics, and decision science). Students gain essential technical skills in data management and software development, while business courses provide the context for applying information analysis across various organizational functions.
