Upper-division labs introduce essential techniques and methodologies. Students can broaden their biological knowledge or specialize further through advanced elective courses.
NOTE: After completing their second year, Biological Sciences majors may choose to switch to one of these specializations: Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Developmental and Cell Biology, Exercise Sciences, Genetics, Human Biology, Microbiology and Immunology, or Neurobiology. Prospective students can apply directly to the Biology/Education or Ecology and Evolutionary Biology programs during UCI admission.
