The Integrative Pathobiology Graduate Program provides both M.S. and Ph.D. degrees, focusing on research into disease mechanisms. This program investigates the origins and characteristics of diseases in animals and humans, concentrating on pathological developments at systemic, cellular, and molecular levels. Faculty bring diverse scientific expertise to support students with varied interests through personalized academic plans. While foundational courses cover subjects like anatomy, bacteriology, genetics, and virology, the curriculum maintains adaptable structure.
The Designated Emphasis in Vector-borne Disease Biology concentrates on studying pathogens, their associated illnesses, and arthropod vectors that spread them to plants, animals, and people. Graduates of this specialization will gain expertise to develop, execute, and assess strategies for controlling agriculturally, veterinarily, and medically significant pathogens.
