The Hydrologic Sciences Graduate Group offers an extensive curriculum in water science, focusing on process-based analytical thinking and computational approaches, with growing emphasis on environmental data science. Study areas span surface and groundwater systems, unsaturated zone dynamics, aqueous geochemistry, fluvial rehabilitation, computational modeling, spatial analysis technologies, sustainable water allocation, agricultural water systems, and climatic impacts. The curriculum actively blends applied ecological principles, earth system science, and technical engineering with foundational elements of legal frameworks, resource economics, and policy development. This structure enhances the capabilities of students from natural science or engineering backgrounds pursuing water-related studies. The program redefines conventional hydrology by exploring interconnected water systems and their interactions with coupled environmental factors that produce intricate phenomena.
