The Department of Applied Science is a multidisciplinary graduate program primarily centered on doctoral studies, while also providing select Master of Science opportunities. Students can tailor both degrees to specialize in various physical and natural science concentrations. Each graduate works closely with their advisory committee to design a personalized academic path aligned with their career aspirations. Our diverse student body brings varied backgrounds and professional objectives to the program. New graduate students engage in coursework, faculty mentorship, peer collaboration, and seminar participation as part of their academic journey. The curriculum's coursework element is exceptionally adaptable, customized through consultation with each student's faculty advisory team. Our Ph.D. program in Applied Science provides full financial support, including a $31,000 annual Research Assistantship, along with tuition coverage and health benefits.
