The Avian Sciences Graduate Group offers comprehensive education in bird biology fundamentals for students pursuing a Master of Science degree. With their distinctive biological traits, birds provide unique study opportunities, and our faculty's diverse specializations enable a wide-ranging curriculum spanning molecular and cellular studies, organismal biology, and environmental sciences. The Avian Sciences program is committed to fostering diversity by creating pathways for talented students from various backgrounds to achieve their M.S. Degree. Our recruitment efforts focus on identifying high-achieving STEM undergraduates at UC Davis while promoting our program nationally. Avian biology coursework is available through multiple departments, including Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Biological Sciences, and Veterinary Medicine.
