The UC Davis Master of Public Health program aims to cultivate tomorrow's public health leaders by delivering an exceptional graduate curriculum in collaboration with the public health sector. This mission is achieved through joint initiatives with UC Davis and its healthcare partners, encompassing the Schools of Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Management, Law, Education, and Nursing, along with the California Department of Public Health, county health departments, and nonprofit organizations. These collaborations foster teaching, student guidance, field placements, research, community service, and program oversight for the M.P.H. initiative. This intensive 56-unit program emphasizes core public health principles, featuring two specialization tracks—General Public Health and Epidemiology—plus a hands-on practicum in public health environments. While C.E.P.H.-accredited, the program does not hold STEM designation. Designed for rapid completion, the accelerated M.P.H. can be finished in 10-12 months, ideal for professionals entering public health sciences or advancing their expertise.
Applicants must have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution with at least a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) upon graduation.
