The Business Law specialization equips students with essential knowledge to thrive as corporate attorneys in today's international financial landscape. UC Davis law alumni specializing in Business Law pursue careers across global law firms, corporate entities, consulting firms, accounting practices, and nonprofit institutions.

With the ongoing globalization of markets, business operations increasingly span international borders. UC Davis offers a comprehensive Business Law curriculum, covering subjects from Business Organizations to Securities Law to Tax Policy, preparing graduates to excel in this dynamic field. King Hall students benefit from the distinctive option to pursue a dual degree with UC Davis's prestigious Graduate School of Management.

Students first master core principles such as corporate structures and federal tax law before advancing to specialized courses in securities compliance, corporate taxation, financial regulations, competition law, executive leadership, insolvency proceedings, and commercial transactions. Practical application is emphasized through a business strategy workshop where participants create authentic corporate documents.
