Through intimate class settings, you'll build proficiency in Mandarin speaking and writing, starting from any skill level. Immerse yourself in China's literary and cultural legacy by studying in mainland China, Taiwan, or Hong Kong. This degree creates career advantages across business, legal, educational, and government sectors. The Chinese program focuses on linguistic mastery, literary appreciation, and cultural understanding. Through rigorous daily practice, students establish strong foundations in both conversational and written Chinese. Our curriculum includes English-taught literature and culture courses spanning classical poetry to modern novels and pop culture phenomena. Advanced language courses challenge students to analyze original texts in Chinese.

Freshman applicant will be completing or have completed secondary school and have not enrolled at any college or university.
English language proficiency
Score 6.5 or higher on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) examination: Internet-based test (iBT): Minimum score of 80 or better
iBT Home Edition: Minimum score of 80 or better
Paper-delivered test: Minimum score of 60 or better
Deadline for fall admission is October 1–November 30.
