The Department of Mechanical Engineering provides three advanced degree options: the Master of Engineering (M.Eng), Master of Science (M.S.), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.). The M.S. program is exclusively available as part of a combined MS/PhD track, as standalone M.S. applications are temporarily not being accepted. These degrees are awarded upon finishing a curriculum focused on applying scientific principles to address complex engineering challenges. Study plans typically feature advanced coursework in engineering, mathematics, and sciences, utilizing systems engineering methodologies for problem-solving.
