The department provides an accredited professional Master of Architecture (MArch), along with post-professional Master of Advanced Architectural Design (MAAD), Master of Science (MS), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs. This research-focused, non-professional degree enables advanced study in specialized architectural subfields, equipping students for diverse career paths. The program highlights coursework and guided independent research in either Building Science, Technology and Sustainability or History, Theory and Society. Our incoming M.S. students come from varied undergraduate backgrounds, spanning architecture, history, engineering, environmental sciences, and other fields connected to the built environment.
The following minimum requirements apply to all graduate programs and will be verified by the Graduate Division:
