The Department of Nuclear Engineering provides three advanced degree options: the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Master of Engineering (MEng), and a combined Public Policy (MPP) with Nuclear Engineering (MS) degree. The intersection between governance and technological advancement grows increasingly significant each year. Across diverse fields—from nuclear safety and environmental conservation to digital copyright, healthcare, water resource management, and beyond—public institutions, non-profits, and corporations require professionals who grasp both technical complexities and governmental frameworks that regulate them. With its intimate cohort size, this program allows for personalized curricula developed in consultation with advisors from both disciplines.
