Admission to the Vision Science Phd program is based on a variety of factors, including academic achievement and relevant experience. Because this program is designed to develop research scientists, it is important that applicants are familiar with an experimental lab setting. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of our program, we accept students with various backgrounds including psychology, optometry, engineering, computer science, physics, chemistry, biophysics, neuroscience, mathematics, molecular and cell biology and integrative biology. You must have a bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent from an accredited institution. Transcripts, GRE Test Scores, Letters of Recommendation, Essay Questions, Satisfactory scholastic average, usually a minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 (B) on a 4.0 scale, Undergraduate training to do graduate work in your chosen field, Please note the minimum Toefl scores for the Internet-based Test (iBT) is 90 and for the Paper-based Test (pBT) it is 570. Ielts - Your most recent overall Band score must be at least 7 on a 9-point scale.
