The Social Welfare PhD program offers an adaptable, interdisciplinary curriculum designed to develop independent researchers and scholars in social work. This intentionally small program fosters deep connections between students, faculty mentors, and peers. Our expanding, diverse faculty brings specialized knowledge in areas including trauma studies, veteran services, gerontology, policy analysis, and migration studies. Additionally, the program provides consistent, substantial financial support via assistantships and academic awards.
