The PhD program in Language Education and Multilingualism offers an in-depth foundation in theoretical knowledge, practical applications, and research methodologies, designed for individuals pursuing academic careers in higher education or leadership positions within school districts. Program alumni are equipped for scholarly research, instructional roles, and administrative positions at universities, as well as leadership opportunities in K-12 education systems or state-level educational agencies. The curriculum requires completion of at least 72 credit hours post-bachelor's degree and concludes with a doctoral dissertation.
Master's Degree
If you do not already hold a master's degree, you will be considered for admission if you have completed an otherwise field-relevant and highly rigorous undergraduate degree program or a collection of graduate courses not leading to a degree.
Admission Interview: An interview is required to be considered for admission to this program.
