Pursuing graduate studies in biomedical informatics offers comprehensive training in assessing and overseeing information management systems within healthcare and biomedical research environments. Graduates will gain the expertise needed for leadership roles in technology, policy, or strategic planning across healthcare, industry, or research sectors. Faculty research spans diverse areas such as clinical decision support, bioinformatics and translational research, biomedical ontologies, population and public health informatics, as well as the human-centered design of biomedical information systems.
You must submit the following to apply:
the completed online application
official transcripts from every college or university you have attended full-time
a score report from the GRE (exam must be taken after July 31, 2011) or the MCAT (must be an official score report from AMCAS)
three letters of recommendation
a personal statement describing your career goals, research and/or professional experience
documentation of English proficiency
Your bachelor’s degree grade point average must be a 3.0 (B) or better.
We give preference to applicants who have completed courses in:
computer sciences or programming
biology and/or other health sciences
mathematics, including calculus
statistical analysis
