The Bachelor of Science in Computational Linguistics equips students with a comprehensive understanding of linguistic language analysis, essential computer science fundamentals for applying human language technologies, and core computational linguistics techniques. This interdisciplinary program combines coursework from both the Linguistics Department and Computer Science & Engineering Department. Computational Linguistics is experiencing significant growth as demand rises for enhanced natural language processing across diverse software applications. A key feature of this program is its dual-department approach, where students learn from expert faculty in both fields, ensuring they gain equivalent training to single-discipline majors in computer science and linguistics.
