The Urban and Public Policy Studies program caters to students passionate about societal challenges, city environments, and governance systems. Learners explore topics like urban planning, transit systems, residential needs, zoning regulations, economic growth, and metropolitan disparities through multiple academic lenses. The program combines classes in political science, sociology, geography, history, and urban design with core training in data analysis and research techniques. Academic internships are strongly recommended as part of the curriculum.
Have earned the equivalent of a U.S. high school diploma.  If you have already completed secondary school, you need to submit both academic transcripts and proof of graduation with your application documents. 
Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.000, both overall and at the University at Buffalo
