Delve into phonetics, phonology, semantics, and syntax as part of your linguistics studies. This program lets you examine language structure, purpose, and significance—with opportunities to focus on particular languages through advanced coursework. At UB, you can even specialize in globally prominent languages such as Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
Have earned the equivalent of a U.S. high school diploma.  If you have already completed secondary school, you need to submit both academic transcripts and proof of graduation with your application documents. 
Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.000, both overall and at the University at Buffalo
