The Linguistics program explores the mechanics and principles behind all languages, rather than concentrating on any one language. This field scientifically examines word origins, language evolution, and humanity's innate linguistic abilities. Graduates with a Linguistics degree frequently enter careers in education, publishing, tech development, translation, or multicultural settings, while some continue their education through advanced degrees. The minor option entails completing 18 credit hours of upper-level English department courses. While English or Professional Writing majors can add this minor, it's not permitted to combine a Linguistics major with a Linguistics minor.
