An MSEE (Master of Science in Electrical Engineering) equips students with cutting-edge expertise for diverse career paths in today's evolving technological landscape, including future professions not yet conceived. Our EE department features a premier electronics design curriculum focused on advanced VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration) circuit design, spanning both microscopic and emerging nanometer-scale applications. The program offers comprehensive VLSI coursework covering (i) design principles (Analog/Digital VLSI, RF VLSI, low-power VLSI), (ii) manufacturing processes (microelectronics fabrication and nanotechnology), and (iii) quality assurance (VLSI testing). The program also explores MEMS (Microelectromechanical Systems) technology, where micro-MEMS develops micron-scale electronic-mechanical systems, while nano-MEMS operates at molecular dimensions. This nanotechnology enables revolutionary VLSI components like single-electron transistors, nanowires, and quantum computing elements.
