The Political Science program centers on fundamental courses covering four key areas: American government, international relations, comparative politics, and political theory. Students also complete research components, internships, and a capstone project to develop practical skills for careers in public service or private industry. To earn either a B.S. or B.A. degree, students must complete 120 credit hours, including 24 credits in the core curriculum. After fulfilling these eight core courses, students can either pursue a complementary minor or take six Political Science electives to further specialize in the field.
