The Political Science program centers on foundational courses covering four key areas: American government, international relations, comparative politics, and political theory. The curriculum also incorporates research components, internship experiences, and a capstone project or thesis to develop practical skills for careers in either public service or private industry. To earn either a B.S. or B.A. in Political Science, students must complete 120 total credit hours, including 24 credits in the core curriculum. After fulfilling these eight core courses, students can either pursue a minor in a complementary discipline or take six more electives to specialize further in Political Science.
