The coterminal Master of Arts in Public Policy is a program structured to provide foundational analytical skills for policy evaluation, while enabling Public Policy majors to focus on specialized areas of applied policy research. Open to all undergraduates regardless of their primary field of study, this combined degree addresses the demand for a rigorous academic route preparing students from varied disciplines for careers in public service. While many participants finish their MA during a fifth year at Stanford, some complete both their bachelor's and coterminal degrees in under fifteen quarters. The curriculum features three distinct pathways tailored to students' undergraduate backgrounds, incorporating interdisciplinary coursework and opportunities to concentrate on specific policy domains through electives or specialized focus areas.
