The Master of Public Health (MPH) is an interdisciplinary professional degree focused on public health. The MPH Program equips students with comprehensive knowledge and fundamental skills across core public health disciplines. Through specialized coursework, students develop expertise in specific areas while gaining hands-on experience addressing real-world health challenges during internship placements. Full-time students typically complete the program in two years, while part-time students have up to six years to finish. The MPH curriculum and learning activities are structured around established competencies, which also inform prospective students, employers, and stakeholders about graduates' knowledge and capabilities from the MEZCOPH MPH program.
The Public Health Policy and Management specialization trains MPH students for leadership positions in both public and private organizations, empowering them to develop and execute health policies while managing programs that serve diverse communities, with particular attention to rural populations in the Southwest region.
