The Master of Public Health (MPH) is an interdisciplinary professional degree focused on public health. The MPH Program equips students with comprehensive knowledge and fundamental skills across core public health disciplines. Through specialized coursework, students develop expertise in specific areas while applying their learning to real-world health challenges during internship placements. Full-time students typically complete the program in two years, while part-time students have up to six years to finish. The curriculum and learning activities align with established MPH competencies, which also inform prospective students, employers, and stakeholders about graduates' knowledge and capabilities from the MEZCOPH MPH program.
The Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics offers the MPH in Epidemiology concentration. As a cornerstone of public health science, epidemiology primarily examines health issues affecting communities and population groups.
This concentration delivers structured training in epidemiological theory, methodologies, and applications through rigorous coursework and practical internships. Students pursuing epidemiology gain the tools to investigate patterns, causes, and prevention of diseases, disabilities, and premature mortality in human populations.
